BUBBA & FINN'S Hawaiian Kine Treats: Reviews & Ratings
We, literally, made a u-turn in rush hour Hampstead traffic when we saw this Hawaiian eatery. This is a new strip-type mall with plenty of free parking. You can access the plaza from behind McDonald's to avoid the main street traffic. We were immediately welcomed with an Aloha welcome. It was very clean. Large menu posted on the wall with assorted food and Hawaiian treats. No fountain drinks but they do have soda bottles or Hawaiian cans beverages. Ordering was easy and some plates had options available. Food was quick. Loco Moco bowl was hot, tasteful, and delicious. Traditional Mac Salad was a side order. Katsu Chicken plate was just like we remembered. Unfortunately, the malasada's were sold out for the day. For dessert, try the pineapple Dole Whip. Just like eating some at the Dole Plantation on a warm summer day.
Absolutely one of the best if not THE best spots to get food and drinks in this area! The food is absolutely amazing and the portions are so big! For the price I paid, I would probably only get half of what I was given at the OTHER place (you know the one, in Jacksonville). I live about 20 minutes away and it was well worth the drive. We were so impressed with everything! I am going to spread the word because I feel like not enough people are privy to this treasure. If they ever close, I am going to riot! Looking forward to many, many more meals from Bubba and Finn's!
Cute little Hawaiian joint with quality food. Much better than your typical Asian place and a great alternative to Chinese take out or the expensive and not good Sushi Gem. Wings were fantastic, some dishes over salty, and the mac a little bland. But $8 for 6 really really good wings is a great deal.
We love Bubba & Finn’s - absolutely delicious! The food does take a bit to come out, but it’s worth the wait 100%. Huge portions, delicious meals to choose from. Pictured is the teriyaki chicken & the katsu chicken - both amazing!
We just came from a vacation in Maui and couldn’t believe there was a place offering plate lunches local. We stopped here for lunch and were the only people there, the place was cute and they had a covered outdoor seating area to the side. Like others have said, expect some long wait times. We got the teriyaki chicken plate and the mochiko chicken plate, both with rice and Mac salad. The teriyaki chicken was delicious and full of flavor, the mochiko chicken was okay. Mac salad just tasted like pepper and mayonnaise and had no carrots/onions in it. Overall this place was good, seeing as this is the only Hawaiian place in this area I would definitely recommend it if you’re wanting to have a gateway to Hawaiian food.
I would rate 5 stars, so the only reason I reduced a star is because they are not in a hurry, at all, to move food through. We were here for an hour - waited about 20 minutes for our molichiko chicken and another 20 for the waffle dessert after we ate. The food - chicken was dry and very breaded, but the Mac salad and rice was bomb. We also ordered the island dream waffle dessert and that was totally worth the wait. Amazing, I could have died and went to heaven eating that waffle. Food is excellent, so maybe worth the wait, but something to keep in mind. It’s set up like a quick in and out but that was not our experience. I’m sure as they get more experience, the service will be better. We will definitely be here again to try the teriyaki chicken.
Great first experience here and will definitely be coming back!! Pictured on the top left is chicken katsu, top right is the short rib and bottom is the mochiko. Macaroni salad was amazing, rice was delicious and pineapple salad was refreshing. We sat outside, such a peaceful setting.

With a menu full of classic local favorites, from hearty Loco Moco bowls to savory teriyaki and katsu chicken plates, the restaurant captures the essence of Hawaiian plate lunches thoughtfully and deliciously.
One of the standout features here is the generous portion size. Diners frequently remark on how the servings not only satisfy but exceed expectations, offering true value for the price. The Loco Moco, served hot and packed with umami, delivers the comforting, rich flavors that define this beloved dish. The traditional macaroni salad complements the meals well, providing a creamy, peppery balance—though some find it a bit simple, it remains a faithful side. The wings are another highlight, crispy and well-seasoned, making them a perfect snack or starter.
BUBBA & FINN’S also shines in its dedication to authenticity and quality. The teriyaki and katsu chicken dishes evoke the nostalgic flavors of Hawaiian home cooking, perfect for those longing for a quick island escape through food.
